Become the athlete, teammate, and leader people
can count on — especially when pressure rises.
A 7-module leadership experience that helps athletes
understand themselves, clarify what matters, respond more
intentionally under pressure, and lead with greater purpose
on and off the field.
Leading From Within — Athlete Version is designed for athletes who:
Want to understand themselves more clearly under pressure
Want to recover faster from mistakes and setbacks
Want more confidence in who they are, not just how they perform
Want to become a better teammate and more intentional leader
Want their values, purpose, and actions to line up on and off the field
Want practical tools they can actually use in competition and everyday life
You do not need to be a captain. You do not need to be the loudest athlete on the team. You just need to be willing to look inward, do the work, and keep growing.
It feels like making a mistake and not letting it own the next moment.
It feels like hearing the critic in your head — and realizing you do not have to believe everything it says.
It feels like knowing what matters to you when everyone around you seems to have an opinion about who you should be.
It feels like being able to sit with pressure without immediately reacting to it.
It feels like walking into practice knowing who you want to be there — even if you are not the captain, the starter, or the loudest voice.
It feels like supporting a teammate without needing anyone to notice.
It feels like recognizing when an environment is pulling you away from yourself — and having enough courage to make an adjustment.
It feels like caring deeply about the outcome without allowing the outcome to decide your worth.
It feels like becoming someone people can count on because your actions are starting to match what you say matters.
And maybe most importantly…
It feels less like trying to become someone else — and more like becoming more fully yourself.
Know yourself. Lead others. Influence the environment.
Notice their reactions sooner and respond more intentionally
Understand the values and identity guiding their choices
Recover more effectively after mistakes, pressure, and setbacks
Build routines that support focus, resilience, and sustainable performance
Contribute more intentionally to teammates and team culture
Lead with greater consistency — with or without a title
Separate who they are from any single performance, role, or result
You already coach the sport.
Leading From Within helps athletes do the internal work that often determines how they respond when the sport gets difficult.
It gives them a shared language for:
handling mistakes and pressure
understanding their values and identity
communicating more intentionally
responding instead of reacting.
contributing to team culture
leading without waiting for a title
The goal is not to replace your culture.
It is to send athletes back into it more self-aware, more intentional, and better prepared to contribute..
You already invest in the visible parts of your athlete’s development — coaching, training, travel, equipment, recovery, and competition.
Leading From Within focuses on the part that is harder to see:
How they respond after a mistake.
How they handle pressure.
How they talk to themselves.
How clearly they understand what matters to them.
How they show up for teammates.
How much of their identity depends on performance.
This is not about making your athlete tougher, louder, or more confident every day.
It is about helping them build a stronger internal foundation — one they can use in sport, school, relationships, and whatever comes after athletics.
The goal is not just a better athlete.
It is a more self-aware, resilient, intentional young person who knows who they are becoming.
What athletes build here goes with them beyond sport — into school, work, relationships, leadership, and the challenges they will face long after competition ends.
A note for parents: You are welcome — and encouraged — to follow along with your athlete’s journey. The conversations this program starts at home can become one of the most valuable parts of the experience.

I created Leading From Within because I kept seeing the same thing in athletes:
They were being coached on technique, performance, and results — but not always on how to understand themselves, respond under pressure, or become the kind of teammate and leader others could count on.
That is the work behind this program.
Leading From Within is designed to help athletes slow down enough to notice who they are, clarify what matters, build resilience, and become more intentional about how they show up — in sport and beyond it.
I believe leadership starts within.
"Chris taught me how to take all my strengths and use them effectively as a leader. He turned my once weaknesses into superpowers and molded me to be the manager and person I am today. I now lead with confidence and compassion and I owe that to Chris!"
Amanda M. - New York
"Chris has inspired me to express the skills and qualities that I bring to my own life. I am confident that Chris is the best person someone can have when it comes to being the best version of yourself and dealing with life, and I have myself and who I am as a person to back that up."
Mason C. - Maine

A:You will have ongoing access to the course so you can revisit the material as you grow.
Q: What is included with The Ascent Collective?
